Buitenhuis Building and Design (BB&D) uses Chief Architect, a state of the art 3-D designing program. This enables the client to fly around, walk-through and landscape the house long before the first scoop of earth is moved. A thorough understanding of your design is extremely important for both client and builder. This complete understanding allows the client to rest assured their home will be just as they dreamed it. A comprehensive design is an integral part of the building process. It enables seamless communication between sub-contractors, builder and client.

A complete 3-D design eliminates the chance of:
“I did not know it would look like that”
“I can not picture it”
“It is different than I thought”

Step Three – Finish fixture and building material selection
We put our extensive knowledge to work to make your house a home. We have developed a comprehensive checklist of requirements and timelines which aid in the selection process. We feel strongly about our community and its economic health, so we attempt to utilize local suppliers whenever possible. The knowledge of these supply professionals help simplify the decision making process. Every new home comes with a free interior design consultation. We are now a federally recognized Energy Star builder.

Step Four – The building process.
BB&D uses only the best area sub-contractors; from land clearing and excavation, poured walls and concrete, plumbing, heating and cooling, electrical and painting. We have years of experience working with these sub-contractors – and feel they are the best in our area. They are cost effective but they will not cut corners. All of our homes are framed and trimmed by Buitenhuis employees. Our generations of experience in these areas make a tremendous impact on the quality of your home.
